METHOD OF TRANSMITTING SOUND SIGNAL

PURPOSE:To attain a sound signal transmitting method based upon highly reliable VOX control by judging the receiving leakage of a preamble at the time of continuously detecting correct coded sound signals by the previously determined number of times and then executing coding operation. CONSTITUTION:When a unique word detecting part 11 detects a preamble, a voice switching/suppressing control part 15 receiving the detection output controls an output voice suppressing part 17, so that output voice power is controlled so as to be temporarily sharply attenuated and then gradually increased. On the receiving side, the generation of an abnormal tone due to a failure in correct decoding at the start of a sound section is suppressed to remove difficulty in hearing. When a post-amble is detected by the detecting part 11, a background noise parameter storing part 12 to which the generation of the postamble is informed enters and stores a background noise parameter transmitted from a transmitting side high efficiency voice coder simultaneously with the post-amble. The paramete is read out from the storing part 12 and inputted to a background noise synthesizing part 14 together with a residual signal generated from a random residual signal generating part 13 and synthesized with the residual signal to form a background noise.
