METHOD OF ADJUSTING TIMING OF PARALLEL LIGHT TRANSMITTING EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To accurately adjust the timing of a parallel light transmitting equipment for transmitting an optical signal through plural channels. CONSTITUTION:Respective channel timing reference signals are multiplexed and transmitted. A receiving equipment compares the phases of respective reference signals and delays a channel whose phase is advanced to uniform the phases of respective channels. Since a maximum delay time difference among respective channels is calculated and the period of a timing reference signal is determined within the maximum delay time difference, an incorrect delay variable is not applied in this invention. Since the period of the timing reference signal is shortened with the lapse of time, time required up to the coincidence of phases of respective channel data signals can be shortened.
