PURPOSE:To attain calling based upon a step-like tone without expanding and complicating the constitution of a selective call receiver. CONSTITUTION:The selective call receiver receives a call signal sent from a base station, and when identification(ID) information included in the received call signal coincides with its own ID information, generates a call tone. The receiver is provided with a speaker 7 for outputting a call tone, a frequency signal generator 34 for generating plural frequencies and a CPU 31 for controlling a frequency switching part 33 for transmitting the frequency of a frequency signal generated from the generator 34 with the lapse of time based upon a timer 32. |
