CONDUCTIVE MAGNETIC CARRIER FOR DEVELOPER, DEVELOPER, AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PURPOSE:To give large conductivity and magnetic power to a carrier, to enable development with an insulating toner by back exposure/simultaneous development method, and to realize plane paper transfer. CONSTITUTION:Conductive fine particles 17 are adhered to the surface of a mother particle 13 to form a surface conductive layer and to obtain a conductive magnetic carrier. The mother particles 13 contain acicula or rod-like magnetic maternal 15 dispersed in a binder resin. This carrier is mixed with an insulating toner to obtain a two-component developer. With this developer, a developer reservoir is formed between a developer sleeve and a photosensitive body so that charges are injected to the photosensitive body through a magnetic brush comprising the conductive magnetic carrier to electrify the photosensitive body. A latent image is formed by exposing the back surface and a toner image comprising the insulating toner is formed by development, which is then electrostatically transferred to plane paper.
