PURPOSE:To reduce the size of the whole of a linear driving apparatus and simplify its manufacturing and assembling and further improve the accuracy of its aligning function, by providing its static pressure gas bearing and its cylindrical shaft in the inside of the built-up body of the magnetic circuit of a voice coil motor, and by providing on the outside thereof a whirl-stop mechanism of its shaft, which has a simple shape. CONSTITUTION:When a pressurized gas is supplied from an inlet 7 of a cylindrical housing 1 of a bearing, the pressurized gas is passed through circular-ring- like porous bearing members 2a, 2b, and is injected into a very small clearance 6, and by a static pressure thereof, a shaft 5 is supported. A built-up body (A) of the magnetic circuit of a voice coil motor (C) comprises a yoke member 10 and a magnet 11, and a coil built-up body (B) comprises a coil head 16, a sleeve and a coil 17. The coil head 16 is fastened on one end of the shaft 5, and a head member 19 is mounted on the other end of the shaft 5. A linear encoder (D) comprises a sensing head and a scale. A whirl-stop unit (E) comprises a guide plate 24 fastened on the head member 19 and plate-like holding members provided on both its sides, which hold the bearing. |
