The three-dimensional fabric has three axes defined in the directions of its length, its width and its thickness, and an imaginary plane which cuts the fabric at the centre along its thickness or in the transverse direction. The fabric comprises several warp layers which are arranged symmetrically with respect to the imaginary plane. Several layers of first and second filaments (fibres, yarns, wires), which are skewed, are arranged symmetrically with respect to the imaginary plane. A vertical filament passes through the fabric in the transverse direction in order to bind all the layers of filaments. <IMAGE>
