PURPOSE: To provide a compression gasket for a Y-connector, capable of easily sliding a guide wire or a catheter and at the same time preventing body fluid from leaching out. CONSTITUTION: A Y-connector has a compression gasket which, when inserted into the interior chamber of the Y-connector and compressed by the rims 108, 110 of a greatly notched knob, compresses around a guide wire or a catheter. When the greatly notched knob is twisted with an inward force, the rims 108, 110 are engaged with the gasket with inward compression and expands the center portion of the gasket inward, thereby frictionally engaging with the guide wire or catheter. The inward expansion of the gasket is substantially equal to the contour of the inner periphery of the gasket, thus providing a seal between the guide wire or catheter and body fluid such as blood. A guide wire clamp is provided at the end of the arm extending from the Y-connector.
