REGENERATING METHOD FOR COATED POLYPROPYLENE RESIN BUMPER

PURPOSE:To regenerate a coated bumper with high removing ratio of coating film by pulverizing the coated polypropylene resin bumper to specific size, allowing the pulverized material to stand after stirring in a surfactant solution and recovering the floating pulverized material to which small quantity of the coating film sticks. CONSTITUTION:The coated polypropylene resin bumper is pulverized to the size of 0.1-10mm and the pulverized material stirred in the surfactant solution is allowed to stand and the floating part of the pulverized material is recovered and dried. In this way, the pulverized bumper recovered amounts to >=60% in removing ratio of the coating material (coating film) and average diameter of the residual coating film is so fine as about <=3000mum. And the polypropylene resin regenerated in this way is made again into a bumper by melt extrusion. And deterioration in surface property of the regenerated bumper is drastically small and deterioration in mechanical property such as impact resistance and mechanical strength is also small.
