NEST FOR USE IN PLASTIC TUBE WELDING

PURPOSE: To provide a perfect containment welding system for plastic tubes which can be conveniently handled for insertion and removal of tubes. CONSTITUTION: A plastic tube T is placed in the nest 16 to carry out the welding. The nest contains a pair of grooves and an anvil placed at the center between the grooves. The tubes are arranged side by side in the grooves around the anvil. The wafer W is provided with allowance for movement in the clearance between anvils, and tube ends are heated and melted without the tube actually being cut off. Tube melted ends are then set together, and two tubes are connected so that the tubes may communicate with each other at a section that corresponds to the other.
