PURPOSE:To obtain a film for heat-sensitive stencil printing paper which is excellent in handling workability and punching sensitivity and improved in resolution at a time for printing, print density and resistance to printing. CONSTITUTION:A film for heat-sensitive stencil paper is formed of a biaxially oriented polyester film having 0.5-2.5mum thickness. The thermal shrinkage percentage X (%) of the film for 10 minutes at 100 deg.C, the maximum thermal shrinkage stress YMD (g/mm<2>) in the longitudinal direction of the film at 100-160 deg.C and the maximum shrinkage stress YTD (g/mm<2>) in the lateral direction of the film simultaneously satisfy the following (1)-(3). 5<=X<=80...
