PURPOSE:To provide the title bactericide giving markedly synergistic activity, thus giving adequate bactericidal activity at a lower dose than those in the case of using the ingredients singly, comprising a combination of alpha- chlorobenzaldoxime and another low toxic bactericide. CONSTITUTION:The objective bactericide comprising a combination of (A) alpha-chlorobenzaldoxime and (B) 5-chloro-2,4,6-trifluoroisophthalonitrile or 5- chloro-2,4-difluoro-6-methoxyisophthalonitrile at the weight ratio A/B = (20:1)-(1:10) [pref. (9:1)-(1:9)]. It is preferable that the above active ingredients be normally used in the form of one-pack liquid preparation. The amount of this bactericide to be used, when to be added to the process water system in papermaking process or industrial cooling water system, is 0.05-20mg/l or so or 0.5-50mg/l or so in terms of concentration (bacter5iostasis conc.) for inhibiting microorganisms growth or for bactericidal use, respectively. |
