PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording body with improved whiteness and image oil resistance by providing a heat-sensitive color developing layer contg. a dye precursor and a specified color developer which reacts with this dye precursor by heating on a sheet-like base. CONSTITUTION:A coating liq. for a thermal color developing layer is prepd. by compounding each specified amt. of a colorless or light-color dye precursor and a color developer of formula (wherein X is 0 or S atom; R1 is an arom. group with no substd. group, a lower alkyl group or a benzene ring group substd. with a halogen atom; R2 and R3 are each H atom, an alkyl, group or an aralkyl group). A paper, a laminated paper or a plastic film is coated with this coating liq. for a thermal color developing layer and is dried to form a thermal color developing layer and to obtain a thermal recording body. As the pref. example as the color developer of the above described formula, N-(p- toluenesulfonyl)-N'-phenyl urea and N-(p-toluenesulfonyl)-N''-(p-methoxyphenyl) urea are cited. |
