PURPOSE:To obtain a catalyst body having excellent ignitionability and heat resistance by forming filaments of heat-resistant glass fibers having much silica content into yarn, weaving the yarn to a network shape and depositing a catalyst metal thereof. CONSTITUTION:This invention relates to the catalyst body for burning the waste gas of a heat generator such as body warmer or cigarette lighter utilizing propane, butane, etc., in which the filaments of the heat resistant glass fibers having >=70% silica component are bundled to form the yarn and the yarn is woven to the network structure having 0.2-0.7mm thickness and 8-32 mesh size. A noble metal such as platinum, palladium or rhodium is deposited thereon. The catalyst body for combustion having the excellent ignitionability and heat resistance is thus obtd. |
