The invention relates to an arrangement in connection with a glass-supporting profile in a façade system, which comprises a horizontal profile 2, a heat barrier strip 4 made from a plastic material profile arranged in the horizontal groove 3 of the profile 2, a glazing strip 5 arranged at the free end of the heat barrier strip, and screw members by means of which the glazing strip 5 is fastened to the edge of the heat barrier strip 4. To produce a thermally advantageous and mechanically durable construction, at least one wall 7 with a groove 8 running in the longitudinal direction of the strip with a depth which is essentially the same as the thickness of the wall 7 is included in the heat barrier strip 4, and screw members 9 are arranged so as to pass through said wall at the groove 8, there being for each screw member 9 a material quantity in the longitudinal direction of the screw member corresponding to twice the wall thickness. <IMAGE>
