PURPOSE: To provide a strong prosthetic article base of high condensed density having no unnecessary pores by heating a material containing a dental metallic powder to a sufficiently high temperature to be sintered after it is formed into the form of the prosthetic article to be formed. CONSTITUTION: A mixture of 75-99wt.% dental metal as a material containing a dental metallic powder and 1-25wt.% thermoplastic polymer material with a melting point of 50 deg.C or more, preferably a mixture of 85-90wt.% dental metallic powder and 3-15wt.% thermoplastic polymer material with a melting point of 50 deg.C or more, and further the dental metallic powder whose grain size has an upper limit of 100μm, preferably 75μm, are used. The powder is applied onto a porous buried lump by a heater such as a wax knife and is formed into a desired horizontal shape. The lump obtained is heated to temperatures of 50-100 deg.C at which the thermoplastic polymer material is liquefied and sucked into a model from a cover layer, is further heated to temperatures of 150-500 deg.C at which the thermoplastic polymer is burned, and is then further heated to sintering temperatures of 900-1,300 deg.C. |
