- Anti-torque system (1) for a helicopter with a fuselage (2, 3) elongated rearwards comprising an engine (4) driving a main gearbox (5), the said engine (4) and the said main gearbox (5) being arranged in the central part (2) of the said fuselage, and the said anti-torque system (1) including: . a rear anti-torque rotor (6), the axis (6A) of which is transverse with respect to the said fuselage (2, 3) and which is situated at the rear end of the said fuselage (2, 3); . a fairing (7) defining an aerodynamic shape (7T) in which the said rear rotor (6) is housed coaxially, the said shape (7T) including a trailing edge (7F) on the downstream side of the flow of air blown by the said rear rotor (6); . a rear gearbox (8) arranged in the said shape (7T) and able to drive the said rear rotor (6) in rotation; and . a rotary transmission shaft (9) linking the main gearbox (5) to the rear gearbox (8). - According to the invention, the said transmission shaft (9) passes in the vicinity of the said trailing edge (7F) of the shape (7T). <IMAGE> |
