The bluye-type edge area of the force transmission part is intended for engagement on the lens capsule in the area of the zonular lamella and transmits the alterations in shape of the lens capsule during the accommodation process to the lens body, activating a corresp. alteration of the shape and thereby the refractory force of the lens body. The artificial lens is plate-shaped and has a backwardly arched force transmission part. In the edge area of the force transmission part two opposing notches are provided. In the force transmission part between its edge area and the lens body through holes are available. The artificial lens is made of bio-compatible material, e.g., hydrogel or silicon. USE/ADVANTAGE - An effective artificial lens for the human eye.
