PURPOSE:To obtain the title member excellent in corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance and heat resistance and usable for a rotary machine or the like. CONSTITUTION:A metallic powder of, e.g. SUS 304 is dispersed in the surface part of a normal pressure sintered SiC 2, which is subjected to a chemical reaction at high temperature to form a ceramic matrix 2 containing arbitrarily dispersed fine voids of an arbitrary size, and a solid lubricant such as zinc stearate 4 is infiltrated into and fixed in the voids 7 of the matrix 2 to form a solid lubricating layer 6. |
