PURPOSE:To produce a vinyl chloride resin for paste having a low content of coarse particles, a low content of fine particles, and good handleability and being easily formed into a homogeneous sol. CONSTITUTION:The title process comprises spray-drying an aqueous dispersion of a vinyl chloride polymer obtained by the emulsion polymerization or micro- suspension polymerization of a monomer mixture based on vinyl chloride to form a powder of the polymer and removing coarse particles from the powder with a fixed screen air sieve.
