PURPOSE:To display hardness of each tissue in a living body to be examined, a propagation speed and a range of vibration, and magnitude of motion of the inside of the tissue and its direction, etc., so as to be understandable easily and objectively by constituting the system so that minute displacement of the tissue in the body to be examined, its differential value and their timewise maximum value are calculated, and it is displayed. CONSTITUTION:As for an ultrasonic wave 2 reflected by each tissue in the inside of a living body 1 to be examined, a differential value in the depth direction of minute displacement of each point in the tomographic surface is derived by a minute displacement calculating means 9. As for this value, while being controlled by an address generating part 11 which receives a command from a control part 16, the maximum value is derived in a maximum value discriminating means 12-1, and the maximum value and its address are inputted to display memories 13-1 and 13-2 and stored. Subsequently, on a display screen of a display 15, an image in which the maximum value is converted to each luminance is displayed. In such a way, a feature, and a quality and a state of the tissue can be known from many fields, and an image being understandable by looking at with eyes is displayed. |
