PURPOSE:To provide a vibration control mechanism wherein its set up spot is in a large degree of freedom to prevent its set up from disturbing effective utilization of building space with a wide adjusting range and easy tuning. CONSTITUTION:A central part of a long rigid vibration control member 21 having a high vibration damping capacity is fixed to a steel frame beam 25 of partly constituting a structure by using a fixing means of space holding member 26A and a nut (n) or the like, to free a part except this fixing part. The long rigid vibration control member 21 is cut off, and a length of the freed part except the fixing part is adjusted to perform tuning of a vibration control mechanism. In this way, constitution of the vibration control mechanism is very simplified to very easily perform its preparation, mounting work to the structure, etc. By this invention, in a step of almost deciding a natural frequency of the structure serving as an object of mounting the vibration control mechanism, a natural frequency of a vibration control device can be adjusted in parallel to the mounting work. |
