STRUCTURE FOR PAVEMENT AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PURPOSE:To raise snow-thawing effect without water sprinkling by a method in which a water-resisting heat generator is buried in a water-permeable concrete mixture containing coarse iron oxide powder of a given grain size distribution. CONSTITUTION:A water-resistant heat generator 40 of a conductive carbon or resin is buried in a mixture composed of 100 pts.wt. water-permeable concrete and 10-40 pts.wt. coarse iron oxide powder. The mixture is hardened with time to form a given shape of water-permeable cement concrete pavement 45. The iron oxide powder has a grain size distribution consisting of 70-100% portion passing 2.5mm mesh-sieve and 10-35% portion passing 0.3m-mesh sieve. The thermal conductivity of the mixture can thus be greatly raised.
