PURPOSE:To provide a nozzle plate generating no variation in the spouting direction and discharge timing of ink drops. CONSTITUTION:After the whole rear surface of a nozzle plate 1 excepting the part 6 around a nozzle hole 4 is covered with a resist tape and then the nozzle plate 1 is dipped for plating in an electrolyte in which metal ions and particles of water-repellent resin are dispersed, the nozzle plate is further heated at a temperature not lower than the melting point of the water-repellent resin. Then, a strong water-repellent eutectoid plated layer is formed on the surface 3 of the nozzle plate 1 and in the whole part ranging from the inner surface 5 of the nozzle hole 4 continuing from the surface 3 to the rear surface so that the bend of an ink drop due to wetting, etc., of ink is suppressed. |
