PURPOSE:To provide an ink drop jet recording method and a record head, in which bubbles are formed in a stable manner and burst in the outside air with high esnergy efficiency to form ink drops so that images having high image quality can be obtained. CONSTITUTION:A heat energy supply means 2 and a discharge outlet 5 arranged at a position opposite thereto for discharging a part of liquid are provided. A distance L between the heat energy supply means 2 and the discharge outlet 5 and a square root sq. rt. S of a heater area S satisfy sq. rt. S/L>=0.4. When ink drops are to be discharged by making bubbles burst in the outside air, uniform bubbles are formed without using complicated structure, so that the burst of bubbles in the outside air is stabilized. Accordingly, recording with high frequency and recording of images having stabilized image quality will be achieved. |
