<p>PURPOSE:To obtain aqueous ink showing excellent pigment dispersibility and printability, providing prints having excellent water resistance, adhesiveness and surface gloss by neutralizing a copolymer of an alpha-olefin and maleic anhydride and using the neutralized substance. CONSTITUTION:A resin comprising a copolymer of an got alpha-olefin such as ethylene and maleic anhydride and/or a partial reaction product of the copolymer, especially a partially amidated substance or partially imidated substance with an aromatic amine and/or alicyclic amine is neutralized with an alkali component such as sodium hydroxide to give the objective aqueous ink. A resin obtained by polymerizing a monomer such as (meth)acrylic acid containing an a, beta-unsaturated double bond in the presence of the above-mentioned resin is preferably used and preferably pigment (e.g. titanium oxide) is predispersed into the resin and the dispersion is neutralized with the alkali component and used.</p> |
