PURPOSE:To compactly accommodate a contact switch for detecting only the prescribed traveling range (e.g. P, N range) of an automatic transmission and achieve the back-up function of a position sensor or the function of a neutral start switch. CONSTITUTION:A range selector valve for selecting the traveling range of an automatic transmission by an actuator driven by the electrical control is installed, and a position sensor 94 for detecting, e.g. the position of the range selector valve is installed. Only the prescribed range (e.g. P, N range) can be detected by a contact point switch 100 which is turned ON/OFF in interlocking with the movement of the position sensor 94. |
