<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a fireproofing door assembly provided with a fire actuated latch device securely holding a fire retardant door to a door opening part. CONSTITUTION: A fireproof hinged door assembly having a fire actuated latch member comprises a metal door frame having a fire-proofing door mounted therein with a hinge assembly and comprising a horizontal beam and a vertical frame having a lower temperature resistance than those of a door and the frame. The fire activated door latch bolt assembly of the door is disposed with a space along a hinge side of the door in a vertical direction and includes a housing 24 providing a large diameter hollow opening in a peripheral part of the door. A latch bolt 34 is seated slidably in a hollow and pressed toward the hollow opening. A fusible closing body 44 is extended along the hollow opening and supports the latch bolt against a pressing force. A vertical frame of a hinge has recesses spaced apart from each other and receives the latch when the fusible closing body is fused.</p> |
