PURPOSE:To form a fiber-reinforced molding with less bubbles using SRIM by applying pressure to the interior of a cavity using a pressure gas during a period from a pre-gelation state to the completion of curing process after the injection of a liquid resin material into the cavity for molding, when a fiber-reinforced resin molded product is formed using SRIM. CONSTITUTION:A fiber-reinforcing material 11 is deposited in the cavity of a die 3 and the die 3 is closed. A liquid resin material 12 is such as a thermally curable or thermally plastic resin material which can be molded using a reaction injection-molding machine. Normally this material 12 is mixed by a mixing head and then is injected into the cavity. After the completion of the injection process, the interior of the cavity is maintained under a pressurized state using a pressure gas such as air or nitrogen, immediately after the completion of its injection as far as circumstances allow, during a period when the resin material 12 becomes gelatinized. It is recommended that the pressure gas be introduced through a liquid reservoir space part 10. Thus it is possible to obtain a molding with less bubbles and with the fiber-reinforcing material 11 impregnated with the liquid resin material 12 satisfactorily. |
