PURPOSE:To provide an insectproofing and fungicidal material having sufficient insectproofing and fungicidal effects with hardly any toxicity to human bodies by using a material containing hinokitiol and allyl isothiocyanate. CONSTITUTION:An insectproofing and fungicidal material for bearing vegetables and fruits is obtained by including hinokitiol and allyl isothiocyanate in an amount of usually 20mg to 10g, preferably 50mg to 5g in a substrate such as preferably, paper, a nonwoven fabric or a film having vent holes of >=20mu size and, e.g. about 10-200g basis weight per m<2>. The insectproofing and fungicidal material uses the chemical obtained from the natural product and has the above- mentioned effects. |
