A system for controlling the movement of a mechanical element having a range of movement, includes two actuators (100, 100') including servocontrols (102, 102') and actuating elements (110, 110') acting in parallel on this mechanical element, these servocontrols being supplied with power by two independent hydraulic circuits (B', Y') and connected to a processing assembly (PS) suitable for applying manoeuvre demands to them, characterised in that, in parallel with each servocontrol, a hydrostatic module (103, 103') is mounted, including an electrically powered pumping assembly (160-161, 160'-161') and a selection element (149, 149'), suitable, depending on a selection demand (E, E') to subject the actuating element of each actuator either to the servocontrol, or to the hydrostatic module of the said actuator, the pumping assemblies of these hydrostatic modules being connected to two separate sources of electric power (4XP', 50). <IMAGE>
