<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently obtain high-purity N2 by allowing product N2 to flow back so that total of both amount of transferring gas at a time of pressure equalization and amount of product N2 fed from a product storage tank is regulated to pressure not lower than 60% of maximum gauge pressure in the case of starting absorbing operation via atmospheric-pressure regeneration and pressure equalization. CONSTITUTION:The gaseous mixture of a raw material contg. N2 and O2 is introduced into an adsorption tank 1 via a valve 5 and O2 is absorbed by molecular sieve carbon and product N2 is stored in a product storage tank 3 via a valve 9. In the meantime, an absorption tank 2 is regenerated at atmospheric pressure and a small amount of product N2 which has been controlled in flow rate with an orifice 13 is fed to the absorption tank 2 and this tower is washed. Then absorption tanks 1, 2 are communicated by opening valves 11, 12 and gas is fed to the absorption tank 2 from the absorption tank 1 and furthermore product N2 is allowed to flow back to the absorption tank 2 from the storage tank 3. In this case, total of both transfer amount of gas at a time of communication and backflow amount of product N2 is regulated to pressure not lower than 60% of maximum gauge pressure at absorption.</p> |
