PURPOSE: To improve the weight gain of turkeys by orally administering 4,9,11- trienic steroids represented by a specific formula. CONSTITUTION: 4,9,11-Trienic steroids represented by the formula (R is a 1-4C alkyl; X is an acyl derived from a 1-18C carboxylic acid), preferably trenbolone acetate is formulated to the feed for turkeys, preferably in an amount of 0.5-10 wt.ppm, particularly 1-4wt.ppm per the unit weight and used for improving the weight gain of turkeys. The feed to which this compound is admixed is given to turkeys thereby giving very good results. |
