<p>A process for preparing a pigment from a 2,9-dimethylquinacridone compound which comprises throwing a solution of a crude 2,9-dimethylquinacridone compound in sulfuric acid into the flow of water to yield fine precipitates, separating the precipitates by filtration, washing the same with water, adding the washed precipitates to a C1 to C4 lower alcohol, and heating the same to 60 to 200 °C.</p> |
