The difference amplifier uses two FET's (T8,T9) acting as controlled current sources providing auxiliary currents (I8,I9) in response to an input signal, for amplifying a base current (Io) provided by a parallel current source transistor (T3) connected in series with two parallel current paths each contg. a FET (T1,T2) and a load element (L1,L2). The latter FET's (T1,T2) are of the same type as the two controlled current source FET's (T8,T9). A level converter circuit (PU) is coupled on the input side to the gates (4,5) of the first two FET's acting as the amplifier inputs and on the output side to the gates of the two current source FET's.
