The pawls (12) are distributed around the periphery of the load attachment (3) in their engagement against which they are tensioned backwardly and inwardly. An operating device consists of a rotatable, drivable ring (19) in the peripheral direction of the load, which in a blocking position blocks all the pawls by engagement in their holding position. The load attachment (3) has recesses (35) with inclined surfaces (36) which work in conjunction with the corresp. support surfaces (15) of the pawls in such a way that the wt. of the load presses the pawls outwards. The ring (19) is driven by a motor drive (25) which is additionally coupled to a hand grip (27). USE/ADVANTAGE - For the retention of external stores on aircraft.
