O2 Sensor arrangement contains two sensor layers (2,4) e.g. of SrTiO3. The conductivity of these layers is measured by interdigital electrodes (3a,3b; 5a,5b). Both sensors are surrounded by an external ring electrode (6). The sensors are chosen so that they show a different dependance of conductivity on the partial pressure of O2 but a similar variation of conductivity with temp.. ADVANTAGE - Effect of temp. can be markedly reduced.
