<p>A method of antiinflammatory, and more particulaly antiarthritic, treatment of a human or animal patient comprises administering to the patient an effective amount of a compound of general formula (II) in substantially pure form, wherein R1 represents hydrogen or an acyl group derived from a long chain fatty acid, preferably a fatty acid having (10) or more carbon atoms.
