<p>A pocket type separator (1) for an electrode plate (P) of a storage battery, such separator (1) having a bottom, closed left and right side edges and an open top side. The inner surfaces of front and rear sides of the pocket facing each other include a plurality of parallel, vertical, widthwise spaced ribs (5) in middle regions constituting most of the facing surfaces and a plurality of intersectant vertically spaced ribs (6) on the widthwise left and right side end portions (2) of the facing surfaces and intersecting front and rear corner edge portion (P1, P2, P3, P4) of opposite side edges of an electrode plate (P) contained in the pocket type separator (1). <IMAGE></p> |
