The actuation device for a clutch of a motor vehicle having a pedal (1) is under the influence of a pretensioned tension spring (10) which is hinged at one end in a fixed point (9) on the structure side and at the other end on a pressure rod (7) which is supported in a lever arm (5) of the pedal. The tension spring exerts a restoring force (11) which holds the pedal in the quiescent position and, in the event of an activation of the pedal, a force (16) supporting the foot force is produced once a dead-point position has been exceeded. The pressure rod is held in the bearing point (6) of the lever arm such that it can pivot via the tension spring (10) during each pedal movement in such a manner that, during each pedal movement, the force vector line passes through the fixed point (9) of the tension spring on the structure side and through the bearing point (6) of the pressure rod. ……
