The radio broadcast transmission system has a control signal transmitted together with UHF-FM and/or AM signals decoded by a decoder within the radio receiver, to allow the control signal to be used for switching or control of the receiver. This allows reception of a digital audio broadcasting signal, or a digital satellite radio signal. Pref. a second control signal is also transmitted and decoded within the receiver, to allow switching between FM or AM radio reception. The receiver has a common antenna (1), HF/IF stage (2), operating controls and loudspeaker (16). ADVANTAGE - Simple control of radio receiver reception circuit by transmitted control signal. |
