Support crucible for a main crucible is made up of at least 2 segements, pref. three (2 visible, i.e. 2,2") which have butting surfaces (14) aligned at an angle (alpha) to the radius of the crucible sidewall. The joining surfaces pass from the top of the crucible down the sidewall to the central axis (M) of the crucible. Pref. crucible is made of segments of equal shape consisting of electrographite C-fibre reinforced carbon, glassy carbon etc.. |
