PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material improved in color forming sensitivity and having high sensitivity suitable for high speed recording by further adding a specific compound to an electron donating color forming compound and an electron acceptive compound. CONSTITUTION:An electron donating color forming compound is a colorless or light-colored one and, for example, a triarylmethane compound or a diarlymetane compound is used and, as an electron acceptive compound, a phenol derivative, an org. acid or a metral salt thereof or an inorg. electron acceptive compound is used. Further, as a specific compound, a compound represented by formula (1) (wherein R is a methoxy group or an ethyl group) is used. As the electron donating color forming compound, 3-di-n-butylamino-6- methyl-7-anilinofluorane can be also used. |
