PRODUCTION OF L-ALANINE

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain in an industrially advantageous way L-alanine useful as a raw material for synthesizing foods and medicines by culture of L-alanine- productive bacteria belonging to Corynebacterium or Brevibacterium and having specific characteristics. CONSTITUTION:L-alanine-productive microorganisms be longing to Corynebacterium or Brevibacterium and resistant to L-cycloserine are cultured in pref. a liquid medium, and the objective L-alanine produced and accumulated in the cultured product is collected. The microorganisms is e.g. Corynebacterium glutamicum LCSR 50-10 (FERM-BP-3587) mutationally derived from Corynebacterium glutamicum ATCC 13869. The culture is pref. made aerobically at ca.30 deg.C and a near neutral pH level.
