PURPOSE:To improve the signal modulation degree, environmental resistance and mass productivity of a DRAW type CD or DRAW type VD having an org. dye recording layer by accelerating the deformation of a reflection film. CONSTITUTION:At least the recording layer 2 consisting of the org. dye system and the metallic reflection layer 3 are successively laminated on a transparent substrate 1. All of the transparent substrate, recording layer and reflection layer of the parts irradiated with a laser beam are deformed to generate recording pits having fine rugged shapes, by which information is recorded. These recording pits are so formed that both of an expansion deformation mode 13 to the reflection layer layer side and a depression deformation mode 15 to the transparent substrate side are included in the deformation of the recording layer in the parts formed with these recording pits or both of the expansion deformation mode 13 to the reflection layer side and a gap forming mode 18 are included therein. The recording layer is decolored after the information recording, by which the reflectivity of the optical disk is increased. |
