PURPOSE:To reduce the consumption current in the transmitter for infrared-ray type remote controller. CONSTITUTION:This transmitter is provided with an encoder 21 repeatedly forming the key data corresponding to the depressed key from among operation keys 1 during the depression of the key and a modulation circuit 23 modulating a carrier pulse P22 by the key data from this encoder 21. It is also provided with a light emitting element 4 outputting infrared ray according to the output P23 of this modulation circuit 23 and circuits 11 to 13 intensifying the infrared- ray during the constant time after a key executing the operation once for each depression of the key is pushed.
