PURPOSE:To provide a high-speed miniaturized matrix optical switch which has little insertion loss, whose switching scale is large and whose power consumption is reduced. CONSTITUTION:In the matrix optical switch where a movable reflecting device(movable mirror) 7 is provided at each of intersections obtained by making plural input optical paths intersect with plural output optical paths, and the input optical path and the output optical path, which pass the intersection, are connected by moving the device 7 at the specified intersection; the respective devices 7 are formed on a common switching substrate 1. The device 7 is controlled to be driven and moved by a linear actuator 8 and an electronic device, which are integrally formed on the substrate 1. |
