<p>PURPOSE:To recognize that an input device is detached or replaced after initialization by providing a detection part which detects the insertion and extraction of the plug of the cable connector of the input device into and from the receptacle of an input adapter. CONSTITUTION:When the plugs of the cable connectors of input devices 3-6 are inserted into the receptacles of the input adapter 2, one of the contacts that the receptacles are equipped with varies from a 1st potential to a 2nd potential. When the plug is extracted, on the other hand, one of the contacts that the receptacle is equipped with varies from the 2nd potential to the 1st potential. The insertion and extraction detection part 20 detects the insertion and extraction of the plug from the variation in signal level. When the plug is inserted into the receptacle, a connection detection part 5 decides what kind of the input devices 4-6 are connected according to which contact of each receptacle is at the low level.</p> |
