PURPOSE:To enable a discharge lamp to properly light with the application of simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:A series circuit of a diode 160 and a charging resistor 162 is connected in parallel to a discharge lamp 116, and the resistance value Rc of the resistor 162 is taken at a relationship of R1<=Rc<=1/3.Rs, where R1 is the resistance value of the discharge lamp 116 at the time of lighting, and Rs is the resistance value of a discharging resistor 120 connected in parallel to a phase advancing capacitor 118. |
