Method of improving the linearity performance of a network of analog links, and its use in a video communications network

The method of improving the linearity performance of a network of analog links consists in inverting the phase of the signal at the output of a branch of the network before injecting it into the following branches or branch, according to whether the node of the network is a repeater amplifier or a node for distribution of the signal to several branches of the network. This method is particularly useful for networks in which the links are optical fibres. The invention applies particularly to video communications networks in which the signals to be transmitted are analog signals.
