The generator according to the invention comprises an oscillator circuit (1) magnetically coupled to a coupling circuit (13) comprising an inductor coil (17). The oscillator circuit (1) comprises two triodes (2, 3) whose anodes (7, 8) are connected to quarter-wave tuned lines (9, 10). A feedback line (20) is connected between the connection point (11) of the two quarter-wave tuned lines (9, 10) and, on the one hand, a negative high-voltage supply line (6) and, on the other hand, a positive high-voltage supply line (12). Complementary coupled impedences (22, 23) make it possible to adjust the feedback level.
